EM4 Miniatures: Universal Plastic Spaceships Review

Hey, I know it's been a while, but you'll have my unmentioned Dark Eldar force upcoming, so i won't be short of stuff to write about! As for know, I bought a boxed set of 12 plastic spacecraft from EM4 Miniatures, for only £2.50! Awesome, it even comes with flying bases and a proper box! What a bargain! They are hard plastic (no flexible Italeri rubbish), and look pretty similar in size to a 28mm model (my DE Wych is there for comparison). Just think - that's only 3 school dinners for 6 boxed sets! I will paint 'em up soon, and may knock up some simple rules for them. Here are some pics...

  1. have you tried Full Thrust rules, from Ground Zero Games. I have the published rules, but I believe they are now available as a free download. There are generic forces for FT but you can create your own ships.

  4. At least two of the ships in this set can be found (at least in the US) as part of a package sold for gumball machines, carnival prizes or party favors. I paid something $9 for about 140 of them on Amazon (I think they were listed as "plastic UFOs")! The plastic is a little soft, I need to figure out some bases and they need some attention with a razor knife or sandpaper, but they ended up costing me about six cents a ship! That is a fleet I can easily afford, especially as I am just returning to wargaming and will probably mess about half of them up!
